Vive l'empereur!

So as promised this is my first attempt at the French officer included with the Black Powder Waterloo Starter. As you can see it is a pretty nice crisp sculpt and I thought about putting him off until I had completed a full unit but I just had to have a go.

I have recently watched a video by Tabletop Minions where numerous professional painters were asked a set of six questions on how to improve your mini painting. Most were in agreemnet to do a lot of figures under a time restraint or deadline to improve so I have royally ignored that!

I started with an undercoat of Wikos grey acrylic primer.

Rattle-can grey primer
I followed with base coats of vallejo white, Prussian blue, black and basic flesh. The browns were GW Mornfang brown and the gold was Retributor armour. Details for the red were Vallejo. Final touches were Nuln Oil pin washes and some Reikland flesh shade and Seraphim Sepia.
